1. Who we are
Inflect LLC ("Inflect", "we", "us") is a software company based in Florida, United States. We build and operate Cursa (running training and tracking), Throughline (coaching and recovery), and Lifestuff (household organisation). For privacy purposes, Inflect LLC is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect
We collect only what an app needs to do its job. Depending on which product you use, that may include:
Account information
- Email address and, optionally, a display name
- Authentication details (managed by our identity provider; we never store plaintext passwords)
Information you create in the app
- Cursa: runs, routes, paces, training plans, race goals, and history you import from other services or Apple Health
- Throughline: programs, check-ins, form notes, and messages between you and your coach or client
- Lifestuff: chores, meal plans, shared bills, calendars, and household decisions you record
Technical and diagnostic information
- Crash reports and aggregated, privacy-respecting product analytics, used to find and fix problems
- Basic device and app-version information needed for support and compatibility
We do not collect data to build advertising profiles, and we do not buy personal data about you from third parties.
3. How we use it
- To provide the features you've asked for — building your plan, syncing your runs, keeping a household in sync
- To keep your account secure and authenticate you
- To diagnose crashes and improve reliability and performance
- To respond to your support requests
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
We rely on your consent, the performance of our contract with you (providing the app), and our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable service. Where the law requires consent — for example, certain health data — we ask for it explicitly.
4. On-device processing
A core principle of how we build: when something is personal, we keep the processing on your device wherever we can. Cursa's adaptive coaching and analysis run on-device using Apple's on-device intelligence rather than sending your training data to a cloud language model. We will tell you plainly if that ever changes for a given feature, before it does.
5. Who we share with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the apps, under contracts that limit them to processing it on our instructions. These include:
- Hosting & database — to store your account and the data you create
- Authentication — to securely sign you in
- Crash reporting & analytics — to find and fix problems
- Email delivery — to send you account and service messages
- Payment processing — to handle purchases; card details are handled by the processor, not stored by us
In Throughline, content you create is shared with the specific coach or client you are connected to — that's the point of the app. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and Inflect. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Health & fitness data
Cursa and Throughline may handle health and fitness information — runs, heart rate, workouts, soreness, sleep. With your permission, Cursa can read your existing history from Apple Health to bring it into the app. We use this data only to deliver the features you've enabled. We never use Apple Health data for advertising or sell it, and we follow Apple's HealthKit requirements. You can revoke access in your device settings at any time.
7. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (for example, transaction records for tax purposes). Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, we aim to give you real control:
- Access & portability — export the data you've put into an Inflect app
- Correction — fix data that's wrong
- Deletion — delete your account and associated personal data
- Objection & restriction — ask us to stop or limit certain processing
- Withdraw consent — where we relied on it, without affecting prior processing
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email hello@inflect.tech. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Inflect's apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Lifestuff is designed for families: where children appear in a household, an adult account holder manages that information on their behalf. If you believe a child has provided us data directly, contact us and we'll remove it.
10. International transfers
We're based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
